On My Easel - original oil paintings of nudes by Connie Chadwell

"Morning" (oil) has SOLD
Here are a couple of paintings - one is the finished oil version of the oil pastel "Morning" and I am very happy with the way it turned out. The other is the beginning of one of my "Ana" drawings translated to oil. Tomorrow I will probably post a bar scene - lots going on at Hackberry Street Studio. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Both nice, love the morning painting.
The coziness and light coming through windows is exquisite!
Meanwhile how's the recovery from porcupine attack on your dog Roger doing? What an ordeal.

Life drawing is ace! It is so good to see some on your blog. The first one is coming on well and I really like the back pose.

Thanks so much, Candy, I appreciate your nice comments! Poor Roger got a dreadful infection and according to the blood tests, was near death. We've given him all the medicine and he seems to be doing much better. Thank you for asking about him - that's so nice!

Hi Carolann - I definitely agree about life drawing - nothing like a real live person to draw from. Thanks so much for your nice remarks about these pieces and for stopping by my blog!

"Ana" is fantastic! I love the chromatic spots that stand out from this sensitive color scheme.
Connie, I just discovered your blog and I am delighted!
