Wonderful movement Connie. That paper does look like fun. And I love the whole series you just did of the dancers. Tango Dip, especially melty. While you die of the heat, we're still lighting the woodstoves, which also puts one into a sour mood (in July, for heaven's sake).
Your Tango series captures the spirit of the Tango. I appreciate the point of view you have taken for each pose. The angles you chose and the postures of the male are great for showing feeling. I think your process of doing gesture drawings of live dancers pays off in an energy that can not come through photographs. Also the selection of color sizzles. I can hear the music when I look at your paintings.
Hi Dale - thank you so much for your nice comments - glad you like the tango pieces. I can't believe your weather - we're absolutely steaming here. Maybe you could send a little of the chill down this way!

Oh, I LOVE this one! The movement in it is wonderful, and yes you can feel the sizzle between the two dancers, too! Thanks for sharing it!

I don't like oil pastels at all but you really put them to great use and effect. A lovely piece showing elegant movement.

Hi Bill - thank you for your nice comment - I appreciate it! You should reconsider oil pastels, though, they're really wonderful!
Hi Connie, I love your "tangos" but this one is special! I have oil pastels that have never left their box. You inspire.
Thank you, Marge! I hope you'll take those oil pastels out of the box and give them a try!
