Submission - acrylic still life painting

two pears facing another pear bowing to them
A fun thing to fool around with in my quest for experience with acrylic paint.  Maybe it's a little abstract, but I really enjoyed slapping the paint on.  I did this one on stretched canvas, 8 x 10". Thanks for looking!

"Eggplant Aloft" - original still life oil painting

Here's more from my painting workshop.  I was afraid the arrangement wouldn't be acceptable to our instructor,  Scott Conary, but it passed muster and I was on my way.  This workshop has opened up new painting ideas for me.  This one is on canvas board, 8 x 10".  Thanks for looking!

Jade Buddha - oil pastel still life

Now for something completely different - for me, anyway. I have always loved this Buddha figurine, so just decided to paint it, instead of my usual subjects - hope I did it justice. Actually, I did this the other day, and it is a daily painting, just not today's daily painting.

This oil pastel is on 8 x 10" Ampersand Pastelbord. I love this stuff (Pastelbord)! The oil pastel feels very dry after a few days and then, being oil pastel, you can just spray the heck out of it with fixative, varnish it and frame without glass. At least, that's what I've been doing lately.
