Here's a painting from my drawing of some boys at a park. It was one of those fast and frantic drawings that only worked because they were actually still for a few minutes while they watched some other kids skateboarding. I didn't have my camera with me and anyway, I usually trust working from my drawings more than from photographs. Of course, there are times when nothing but a photo will do. This is done with very soft pastels and is 14"x15".
