A Modest Nude - original oil pastel painting of a nude

I came across an old life drawing and did a 7 x 5" painting on Pastelbord from it.  I'm always saying that I'm going to get rid of all those old drawings, but they do come in handy.  I'm not a hoarder by any means, but I do have a stack of them.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

I do like the second life turning life drawings into paintings brings. I have stacks with the same idea that continues to grow☺
The light on her shoulder and check(s) work so well with the background.

Dear Connie, I'd like to ask you how do you take the photo of the painting to have accurate (or so beautiful) colors of it? Is in your posts photos or scans?

Hi Anthony - thanks so much for your comment. The stacks of drawings do grow, but they eventually earn their keep by providing us with some finished work. That's my theory, anyway.

I am so flattered, Hilda, by your comment because your interpretation of skin is always just beautiful - thank you!

Hi Kami - I just took a photo with my iphone and posted it from my laptop. Haven't figured out how to post on blogger from my iphone. I don't have any kind of photo editing software - too complicated. For some strange reason, the most accurate photos that I take of my work is at night in the kitchen window with only the light on over the sink. Thanks for visiting my blog!
