This painting is 7 x 5" on Gessobord and I was pleased with it because I thought it fairly painterly. I always think of myself as a 'line' person, so painting is actually a second language for me. Does anyone else feel they are either a 'line' or a 'shape' person? When I heard first heard that idea, it made perfect sense to me. What do y'all think? Line or shape? Anyone out there who's both?

The line/shape thing! that's something to think about.
It's almost like two separate ways of seeing! I try to use both. Lately I'll put a line study on one side of the canvas and value study on the other.
