Jivemania II - original oil figurative painting by Connie Chadwell

I probably could have made this piece more finished, but I am really a fan of a more "raw" state, so left it where I felt it still had life.  It's easy for me to kill a painting, plus it's much more fun this way.  So, I just shut the studio door and headed home.  The painting is 6 x 6" on Gessobord.  Thanks so much for visiting my blog and

The looseness of the strokes really intensifies the abandon of the dancers. Love it!

Hi Connie,
I just ran across your blog from the Artists of Texas blog (our posts are right next to each other). I just love the looseness and energy of this painting. Great job!
