Flamenco Frenzy - original oil figurative painting by Connie Chadwell

I know it's a little crazy and a little wild, but she's totally involved in the music as she stomps her way across the floor.   This painting is 7 x 5" on gessoed panel and I LOVED doing this one!  Thanks for stopping by Hackberry Street Studio - I'm always glad to see you here!

Hi Connie! It was wonderfully fantastic to see your paintings in the latest magazines! I was so thrilled! I did that last painting that you saw on heavy cardboard. I did the painting with a light watercolor wash before adding pastel. When I wet the cardboard it made the little puckers that I just covered with pastel and did not blend! I knew it would make an interesting background. It was fun! You should try it!!

Thank you Myra! I love the effect of the background in your painting, but I don't know if I'm brave enough to try that!
